Ishikawa Prefecture provides rental laboratories, offices and sites for plants as well as land for sale in lots. These can be used at a lower cost than in major urban areas.

The average temperature in Kanazawa is 14.3°C, not much different from Tokyo's average of 15.9°C.

Kanazawa gets more sunshine from spring to fall than does Tokyo. Although it is snowy in winter, in recent years the annual snowfall has been decreasing. An efficient snow removal system prevents people's lives from being disrupted. The frequency of earthquakes has been the lowest in Japan for the past 30 years.
